Only One Life

At American Christian Tours, being an Education Program Leader (EPL) is often more than just a job.  Many EPLs  infuse their own circles of influence with their knowledge and passion for Providential history.  This doesn’t necessarily mean big venues or even large numbers of people, but rather looking for opportunities in everyday life–and seizing them with purpose!

EPL Tim B. is a recent example. He volunteered as a speaker at a retirement home in Oklahoma and also in his home church.  He spoke on the topic America:  Are We a Christian Nation?  He creatively engaged his audience with a fun quiz to get them thinking about past historical events and various landmarks that point to the Christian influence of our founding.  He then used Internet resources to take his audience on a virtual flyover of the National Mall and the Capitol building, during which time he pointed out evidence of our Christian foundation.

We applaud our EPLs who volunteer their time in the community!  We are called to be salt and light and to meaningfully engage with others.  We encourage you to find a way, even if it seems small, to make connections with others and to share the unique message God has planted in your heart.   As CT Studd wrote, “Only one life, ’twill soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last.”
