Saint Patrick: The real history of his amazing life from tragedy to triumph by William J. Federer
Even though I’ve been doing this [studying history] for many years, it never ceases to surprise me that every look back in history leads to yet another dig further back.
While I realize it is unlikely that a single source can tell the full story of Saint Patrick due to the time period, this book whet my appetite! It sent me looking for context of the time; I wanted more detail of the world in which he lived. It is amazing that during a technology-void era Patrick was able to spread the Gospel so fully and fearlessly; fearlessly being the key for me. This is my kind of book–it makes me search for more!
