Engage Wisely

How do you, as an educator, prepare your students to think critically and engage wisely in this topsy-turvy political climate?

Take them back to the foundations.

Teach them the whos, whys and hows of the founding of our nation. Teach them its purpose. Teach them about those who gave up their lives to gain and preserve the freedoms your students currently have. Teach them history.

As you teach historical truths in the classroom, consider taking a step further to seal these truths in their minds by traveling with your students —

  • To the places where ideas were formulated, debated and refined on how to set up a truly free and prosperous nation
  • To the places where hard-fought battles were waged and lives willingly laid down in order to preserve this free nation for future generations
